Halloween: Awesome. The Mad Tea Party was so much fun, even if Katie did break a bit of the crockery. I absolutely love the fact that I can have fun with friends and it be crazy fun without a drop of alcohol. Just lots of tea and sugar and mind games. Being in costume is always fun of course, even if I did make mine last minute. I thought it was cute anyways. Food was delicious, as Chelsea's parents are so sweet to cook for us and I adore them. Love it!
Viola's B-day: Again, lots of fun. I seriously thought it was going to be nutty, and sure as heck, it was nutty but in a good way. So much kiddy nostalgia, it makes one's head spin. But you surely cannot beat some of the things. Twister was fun, even if it proved my balance sucks when I get elbowed in the eye. Among other things, I haven't done things to look that idiotic in years but I've realized with this crew, being unafraid to completely shunt aside your pride and be goofy is part of the requirements. Yummy fondue at the Melting Pot is always welcome (so fricken yum!) and I even feel better about my connection with these fine ladies (no, I'm not lesbian dammit! ><
- I've been trying hard to fit myself in, and it is a little difficult as the role I suit with my other friends is clearly taken in this one. So I've had to try and find my own niche to sit in, even though I do feel a little out of place at times still. But I've found some common interests with Katie and I'm even trying to put myself in Angela's good graces, which I never thought was something I'd do. I got a hug and good wishes in the latter department, so I think progress is coming.
....Anyways, other things: I might have to invest in Rock Band, simply because it's like DDR but with more music influence and I find those kind of games to be so much fun. No worrying about jump buttons, as my brother likes to point out that I suck at. >< Lately I've been playing rpgs, but I think it's time to get back to the more physical games for a while.
- Only downside: I got so effing lost that night coming home because of the fog, I took twice as much gas and time to get home because I got on the 15 rather than the 215. Ugh! Thankfully, I know my freeways pretty well, but damnit...
Next Saturday night: Hero of Time Movie Premire. Going to LA with Elaina, Mark and Whitney to see a Zelda movie. Trailer looks promising so as a gamer, I'm pretty psyched. Another night of not being home before 10pm. Ah well. I'm going to have a good time, so all should be great.
- So social life is nice and peachy. Now if only everything else were so bright and cheery.
